The upcoming drama will begin during Hepburn’s childhood in Europe, tracing her journey to legendary status. US writer-producer Jacqueline Hoyt (The Good Wife) will be crafting the biographical series using source material from Audrey at Home: Memories of My Mother’s Kitchen, written by Hepburn’s son - with Italian psychiatrist Andrea Dotti, whom she was married to from 1969 to 1982 – Luca Dotti, who is also aiding in the shows production. While details regarding the plot or cast remain under wraps, the series has been revealed to explore Hepburn’s ‘formative years’, treating fans to extraordinary untold stories surrounding one of the screen’s most enduring icons.

Of the upcoming show her granddaughter, Emma Ferrer said, "I know that Audrey went through a lot during World War II and that there was an immense amount of pain within her family and in the war, and all of the struggles with her father and whatnot, but to really understand how all of those aspects came together and formed this identity of a person, that is sort of like the new lens through which to see her."
