Tapping into our collective need for comfort and nostalgia, fast forward more than a decade and a Gossip Girl reboot is on the way. Self-expression, social reform and defining gender roles are just some of the issues which the new show promises to tackle. Representation has been at the forefront, gone is the Caucasian heavy cast of old. Replacing them is a more believable mix of Latin, Black and Caucasian characters. Along with the promise of a well-deserved dose of reality on the Upper East Side.

A social satire set at an exclusive Hawaiian resort, the limited six-part series follows the vacations of various hotel guests over the span of a week as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise. But with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel’s cheerful employees, and the idyllic locale itself. The cast includes Alexandra Daddario (True Detective), Jennifer Coolidge (2 Broke Girls) and Connie Britton (Nashville).

Based on Wondery's hit podcast, Dr Death is inspired by the terrifying true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch (Joshua Jackson), a rising star in the Dallas medical community. Young, charismatic and ostensibly brilliant, Dr. Duntsch was building a flourishing neurosurgery practice when everything suddenly changed. Patients entered his operating room for complex but routine spinal surgeries and left permanently maimed or dead. As victims piled up, two fellow physicians, neurosurgeon Robert Henderson (Alec Baldwin) and vascular surgeon Randall Kirby (Christian Slater), as well as Dallas prosecutor Michelle Shughart (AnnaSophia Robb), set out to stop him. DR. DEATH explores the twisted mind of Dr. Duntsch and the failures of the system designed to protect the most defenseless among us

Nine Perfect Strangers bestselling book next to an image of Nicole Kidman.

Big Little Lies fans, assemble. This is another adaptation of one of BLL author Liane Moriarty's works, and it brings back showrunner David E. Kelley and Nicole Kidman, the latter of who stars as the director of a wellness resort where nine (seemingly perfect) strangers check in for a 10-day retreat that doesn't turn out to be like what any of them expected.

An upcoming drama comedy series starring Golden Globe winner Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) follows Ji-Yoon Kim (Oh) as she becomes the first woman of color named chair of the English Department at the prestigious Pembroke University. Ji-Yoon is faced with a unique set of challenges as the first woman to chair the department, and as one of the few staff members of color at the university.

"Only Murders In The Building" follows three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs its precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it's too late.
