Team Scribe are all about learning. As savvy women of the world we want to be knowledgable about all things past, present and future. Art has always been one of the topics which sparks interesting conversations and in turn many a debate. For most of us, somewhere along the way a painting, postcard or book has evoked the desire to know more about the artist, art form etc. So we're dedicating our Friday posts to the appreciation and learning of art. While we may not be providing a comprehensive lesson, we hope the introductory series will teach all of us something new and exciting along the way. Try slipping it into conversation this weekend and see where the road takes you.
We felt that starting off with a timeline - the grand story of one-style-followed-by-the next is a great place to start. Art history feels like a relay-race of artists, each passing the baton from one to the next, which resulted in a cause-and-effect chain of history and development. Over the next few months we will look at each movement in detail but for now here is a simple time line of these events.....
